Job Description:

Join our dynamic team at JIATÉ, a Taiwanese tea lounge in the heart of Brussels. We are seeking enthusiastic and skilled Kitchen Staff to help prepare and serve delicious Taiwanese dishes and street food. Whether you are looking for a full-time or part-time position, this role offers the opportunity to be part of an exciting cultural and culinary experience.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Prepare Taiwanese dishes including baos, dumplings, and snacks...etc
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times.
• Assist with inventory management and ensure stock levels are maintained.
• Ensure food quality and presentation meets JIATÉ’s standards.
• Follow food safety and hygiene practices at all times.
• Work closely with the front-of-house team for seamless service delivery.
• Assist in cleaning dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, both by using the dishwashing machine and handwashing when necessary.
• Adapt to new recipes and menu items as required.

Required Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

• Previous kitchen experience in a restaurant or food service environment.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to follow recipes and adapt to new dishes.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Positive attitude, attention to detail, and a passion for Taiwanese cuisine.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of French or Mandarin is a plus.
