Job Description:

Join our team at JIATÉ, a Taiwanese teahouse in the heart of Brussels. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Asian Cuisine Cook to prepare authentic Taiwanese-inspired dishes and street food. Whether you are seeking a full-time or part-time position, this role offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic cultural and culinary environment.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Prepare Taiwanese dishes such as baos, dumplings, and snacks.
  • Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet JIATÉ’s standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen (HACCP standards).
  • Manage mise en place, stock rotation, and daily inventory levels.
  • Work closely with the front-of-house team for smooth service.
  • Assist with dishwashing and kitchen equipment cleaning when needed.
  • Adapt to new recipes and seasonal menu items.
Required Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:
  • Proven kitchen experience with a specialization in Asian cuisine (mandatory).
  • Solid knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Positive attitude, attention to detail, and passion for Taiwanese flavors.
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of French or Mandarin is an asset.
